Call for volunteers for two CDA committees


CDA depends on volunteer contributions by its members to undertake important activities. There is an urgent need for volunteers to assist one standing committee and one task group as they oversee CDA’s finances and help decide how CDA money is spent.


Finance Committee


CDA is re-establishing the Finance Committee to help oversee the Association’s budgeting and its investment policies.  Details on the Committee’s mandate are available via the attachment at the left.


The committee is seeking one or two CDA members who are not on the Board of Directors to develop and implement financial and investment policies, procedures and strategies for CDA Board approval. This is a two-year commitment.


Expense Policy Task Group


CDA’s Board of Directors has struck a Task Group to draft a policy that describes the conditions for which travel expenses for volunteers and contracted personnel, who are acting on CDA business or providing official representation on behalf of CDA, will be reimbursed by CDA.  Details on the Task Group’s mandate are available via the attachment at the left.


The task group is seeking a minimum of two CDA members who are not on the Board of Directors to provide their independent views on what expenses CDA should cover for its volunteers and staff.  This task group is to complete its work by September 2016.
